Freemasonry is one of the world's oldest and largest fraternal organisations, bringing together men of good character, from all walks of life, who share a commitment to personal growth, charity, and fellowship.
Practising tolerance and respect for the beliefs of others, and acting with kindness and understanding toward all people.
Providing charity and support to those in need, both within the Masonic family and in the wider community.
Striving for high moral standards and personal integrity in every aspect of life.
Freemasonry traces its roots to the stonemasons' guilds of medieval Europe, evolving over centuries into the fraternal and philosophical society it is today. Modern Freemasonry is organised into individual Lodges, which are in turn constituted under a Grand Lodge governing a particular country or region.
Brits Lodge No. 110 is constituted under the Grand Lodge of South Africa (GLSA), one of the recognised Masonic governing bodies in South Africa.
Members meet regularly to take part in ceremonies steeped in tradition, to support one another, and to raise funds for charitable causes. Freemasonry also encourages self-improvement through study, public speaking, and moral reflection, all within a framework of friendship that often lasts a lifetime.
